Lalah's Curry Powder, Madras Curry is named for the city it originated in Southern India, which has since been renamed to Chennai. Hot Madras Curry Powder is a classic blend of fine spices specially imported from Madras to provide a convenient method of preparing an authentic Indian curry. Ingredients include: coriander, turmeric, mustard, chillies, bengal gram (chana dal), cumin, fenugreek, pepper, garlic, salt, fennel, poppy seeds and curry leaves.
Directions For Use:
Heat butter or margarine or any edible oil and add sliced onions. Fry until light brown and then add the required quantity of curry powder. Stir for a minute and put in the meat, chicken or pork duly cut or slit and fry the contents for a few minuts. Add water to get the desired consistency and stew gently for about 20 minutes. Serve hot to get the best taste.
